PROJECT CONTEXT
World Toilet Day celebrates toilets and raises awareness of the 3.6 billion people living without access to safely managed sanitation. It is about taking action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6: sanitation and water for all by 2030.
WASH United approached Kaboom to create an engaging campaign to raise awareness about period-friendly toilets.
THE ASK
WASH United approached Kaboom to create an engaging campaign on the occasion of World Toilet Day, to raise awareness about period-friendly toilets.
The campaign sought to achieve the following objectives -

Generate awareness about the importance of period-friendly toilets, focusing on women’s experiences.

To make people aware of the meaning of a functional toilet that is period-friendly.

To create a public opinion about the need for public toilets to become period-friendly and therefore accessible for women and girls.
